According to public filings, the restaurant project under the name Alvarado Burgers and Wings is aiming to open at 4617 Gus Thomasson Rd. The filing was issued by Los Jarritos Inc., which, according to public records, also operates Jarro Kafe, an authentic Mexican restaurant located at 13331 Preston Rd.
The project is currently in the development phase. WhatNow Dallas contacted Los Jarritos president Erik Espinoza, who said the project is still several months away from opening.
“I cannot provide an exact timeline, as the restaurant has not yet been finalized,” Espinoza said. However, Espinoza confirmed to WhatNow Dallas that the restaurant will serve burgers and wings. The upcoming Mesquite concept could also feature a beer and wine program as part of its dine-in experience.
The restaurant is planned for Mesquite’s Gus Thomasson corridor, an area that has seen continued development in recent years, with a particularly strong presence of casual-dining and quick-service concepts, including Porky’s Burgers & Wings, Wokk Asian Cookhouse, and Tortas Revolucion. The location also appears to be configured for drive-thru service, suggesting the concept may emphasize convenience and quick service dining.
According to Espinoza, the business is still in its early stages, with an opening potentially coming after this trimester.
