Very little enhances a neighborhood and its community more than a superior coffee shop. Plano will soon benefit from just such an establishment; Cafe Olivia, a gourmet coffee experience, has filed papers for a new Collin County location.

The concept will be bringing amazing java and a chef-driven menu to 2400 Dallas Parkway. The forms submitted to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation shows that relatively extensive work will be required to get the 4,436 square foot storefront customer-ready; the renovations are described as: “Existing walls and finishes to be demo’ed. Some plumbing to be demo’ed. New walls, finishes, electrical and lighting, plumbing, restaurant kitchen equipment, millwork to be built and installed.”

Plano residents will be able to begin charting the signs of progress on Cafe Olivia’s newest home early next year. The project is set to commence on February 1 of 2026 and is projected to wrap by June 30, suggesting a late summer or early fall opening.

Cafe Olivia has a location open in Dallas, described as: “a coastal influenced coffee bar that is complimented by chef driven inspired cuisine. The dining room is immersed with cozy furniture including booths, banquettes and table tops.”

Plano locals can look forward to a menu featuring sophisticated coffee drinks like the fig & rose cappuccino and the salted maple cortado. Hungry guests will be able to satiate their hunger with elevated dishes like milk bread french toast, capri caesar salad, and miso salmon.
