One of the world’s coolest chains is getting ready to sate Dallas County’s sweet tooth. Cold Stone Creamery is preparing to serve some fresh scoops to Grand Prairie .
The international sensation will be setting up shop at 3172 State Hwy 161 Suite 310. Paperwork filed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation show that construction is set to begin on the 1,440 square foot building on February 10, 2025. The project-described by the TDLR as “Construction of first-generation ice cream store in an existing shell building.”-should wrap by May 26 of this year.
Cold Stone Creamery caught the world’s attention and sparked its appetite when it opened in Arizona in 1988. Since its humble beginnings, the ice creamery has spread to include 998 locations nationally.
Cold Stone Creamery has earned devotees through its house-made ice cream. The website describes the concept’s offerings, saying: “Churned from the finest ingredients and mixed with your choice of candy, cakes, fruits or nuts on a frozen granite stone we proudly serve the best tasting, made-to-order ice cream you’ve ever had.”
