Already in 29 states and five countries, Dave’s Hot Chicken is adding a location in Richardson, Texas. The new restaurant at 1545 Belt Line Road is expected to open by February 2024.
“I love this area and have been trying to get a Dave’s closer to Richardson, where I office,” franchise owner, David Futrell told What Now Dallas. “I think people are going to love it, and I’m excited to get there for lunch even quicker.”
The website tells the story of four best friends – Dave Kpushyan, Arman Oganesyan, and Tommy and Gary Rubenyan – who set out to create the perfect hot chicken, and started the restaurant with $900 and a tiny parking lot stand in East Hollywood. Since then, the franchise has grown, verging on viral with interest from pop-culture icons like Drake and Samuel L. Jackson.
The menu includes chicken strips and sandwiches ranging from no spice, to “reaper” – the highest level of heat – but customers can always cool down with Dave’s milkshakes. Learn more at www.daveshotchicken.com.
