Dave’s Hot Chicken has plans to open a location in Lewisville, franchise operator Brian Cassidy confirmed with What Now Dallas.
Cassidy is part of CW Strong Restaurant Group, which operates other Dave’s Hot Chicken locations in Frisco, Plano and McKinney, with more to come.
Brian told What Now Dallas that the Lewisville spot is entering the permitting process, so an exact open date is subject to change as the process progresses. However, the filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation estimates a completion date in September of 2024, so guests can expect an opening sometime after this summer — a long wait for fans of the restaurant’s spicy selections.
The website tells the story of four best friends – Dave Kpushyan, Arman Oganesyan, and Tommy and Gary Rubenyan – who set out to create the perfect hot chicken, and started the restaurant with $900 and a tiny parking lot stand in East Hollywood. Since then, the franchise has grown, verging on viral with interest from pop-culture icons like Drake and Samuel L. Jackson.
The menu includes chicken strips and sandwiches ranging from no spice, to “reaper” – the highest level of heat – but customers can always cool down with Dave’s milkshakes. Learn more at www.daveshotchicken.com.
