Since it first debuted in 1998, III Forks has set the standard for memorable dining experiences with its gracious service style and culinary excellence. Those remarkable dinners are attributable to the excellent caliber of staff working both in the dining room and in the restaurant’s kitchen.
Working at III Forks isn’t just a job – it’s a career, where people thrive in a family atmosphere where they are given the tools to hone their crafts. The brand is now looking for both front-of-house and back-of-house professionals to staff its new location in Addison’s Village on the Parkway, expected to open in April. The restaurant plans to hire a total of 100 people for the Addison location.
Many III Forks employees have been at the restaurant for decades, including Chef Proprietor Chris Vogeli, who opened the III Forks location in Dallas in 1998. Vogeli will be moving from Frisco to lead the Addison team.
Also moving to Addison is longtime Wine and Spirits Manager John Kiel, who began working with a sister Consolidated Restaurant Operations restaurant, Silver Fox, in 2006. His reasons for staying with the company for nearly 20 years? “No. 1, the culture is really unique, much more like a family environment,” Kiel said in a statement. “No. 2 is the quality of the product we are serving – it’s consistently the best in the industry. When you believe in what you’re serving and what you’re doing, you get a lot of rewards from that.”
III Forks Server Violeta Rocha, who has been with the company since 2014, says that support from management is one of the reasons she loves working at the restaurant. “We get a lot of training. We’ve learned about wine, even the history of wine, and when we make changes to the menu, we meet with representatives of the beef companies who come in and talk with us and let us sample the foods,” Rocha said. “We have pre-shift meetings each day, and Chef Chris doesn’t always talk about food – he tells stories you can learn from.”
Rocha adds that the customer experience is extremely important to the III Forks family. “We are not only in the business of food, but in the business of creating great experiences,” she said. “You can see this from how many regulars we have – people come back every week, every month, even once a year. That’s something that really inspires you to make them feel good while they visit.”
Ignacio Naranjo has worked in III Forks’ kitchen for 15 years. He’s risen from a prep cook to someone who “does everything in the kitchen.” He wants III Forks’ job applicants to know that the restaurant is “one of the best places to work, where they give you the opportunity to grow depending on what you want to do.” He describes the staff as “very responsible, respectful, friendly people – everybody makes you feel like a family member.”
The Addison location of III Forks will be the flagship for the reimagined brand and joins additional locations in Frisco, Austin and Jacksonville, Florida.
