According to a liquor license filed with the city, the incoming Lone Spur Cafe will be located at 2513 Rodeo Plaza Fort Worth, Texas 76164. CEO Cory Farley says, “Our Lone Spur Cafe location in Bedford, Texas opened today, [and] our [location] in Fort Worth Stockyards will open in a couple of months.”
As reported by the Santa Fe New Mexican, Lone Spur Cafe’s first location opened in Prescott Arizona’s Old West mining town in 2005. Almost a decade later, in 2013, attorney Cory Farley and his wife Jenny Farley purchased the business. Since its conception, the family-owned establishment has unfurled throughout Arizona, Colorado, and New Mexico with each off-shoot boasting eccentric, on-brand wall decor like bull skulls, barn doors, bear skins, and antler chandeliers.
When asked about the restaurant’s Fort Worth location, Farley explained, “We’re cowboy-themed, so we feel Fort Worth aligns with our culture perfectly. In fact, many of our guests in Texas have eaten at our restaurants in [other states]. They are already familiar with us.”
It’s currently unclear as to why Mojito’s Bar & Grill is no longer in operation, though a less-than-stellar track record on Yelp combined with complications from the pandemic may explain the closure.
Contrarily, Lone Spur Cafe is known for serving up hearty, highly-lauded dishes like steak & eggs, brisket benedict, and a stacked-to-the-sky southwest burger.
