A coffee concept out of Midlothian is planning to expand with a location in Burleson.
Roasted Beeanery is set to open its second coffee bar at 317 W Hidden Creek Pkwy in Building A. The location is a part of The Standard at Chisenhall, a mixed use retail, office and restaurant development that is home to artisan donut shop, Dough Boy Donuts, and lounge and bar, Wilde Cigars.
According to a recent state project filing, the 1,429-square-foot space will be a new construction. Work is expected to start in early March and be completed by July. According to owner Nichole Baxter, a July opening date is “probably reasonable,” but it might open before then.
Locally- and woman-owned, Roasted Beeanery serves up coffee, flavored energy drinks, teas and smoothies to customers in an atmosphere that encourages them to “just BEE you.” The coffee bar uses organic beans and supports its local community and local business partners.
Baxter, who is a resident of Burleson, says she decided to expand to the city because it only has a couple of standalone Starbucks and the lines are wrapped all the time.
“Burleson is growing like crazy and folks really don’t have anything [coffee-wise] at the location we’re moving to,” Baxter said. “There are houses everywhere and it’s one of the busiest roads.”
On the menu are classics like drip coffee, Americano, cold brews, lattes and mochas. But Roasted Beeanery really shines with its specialties that can be hot, iced or blended. Flavors include butterscotch dream, coconut mocha, pumpkin white chocolate, cotton candy energy buzz and candy corn bees milk.
The coffee bar also recently added boba to its menu.
And at the forthcoming Burleson location, Baxter says they will be adding more food items.
“I haven’t figured it out exactly,” she said. “Right now, we offer basic pastries, but we will be adding more items.”
