A Chicago-based hotdog powerhouse is continuing its steady pursuit of DFW domination. Portillo’s has been making a concerted push into the region and is blazing forward with a new North Dallas location.

The popular fast-casual chain will be blowing into North Dallas in a 13904 Dallas Parkway storefront. An opening date is not yet publicly available, however the Portillo’s website has the location listed as “coming soon”.

Portillo’s has been working hard to bring a taste of the Windy City to Dallas diners. The concept currently has five locations open and serving up customers, with three more in development.

Founded in Villa Park, Illinois in 1963, Portillo’s is the face of fast-casual Chicago street food. The website offers this tantalizing taste of what the restaurant has in store: “We’re known for our famous Chicago-style hot dogs, Italian beef sandwiches, chopped salad, cheese fries, homemade chocolate cake, and chocolate cake shake. Our Italian beef is slow-roasted for four hours, thinly sliced, and served on freshly baked French bread. Then, it’s dipped in hot gravy made with our homemade blend of seasonings that we’ve been perfecting for 50 years.”

The chain’s delicious fare has proven enormously popular with diners, helping to expand Portillo’s to around 95 locations.
