Denton diners, get ready to feed the beast within. Primal Steakhouse will be inviting residents of The Colony to sink their teeth into the concept’s delicious fare later this year, according to documents filed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.

Las Vegas’s top-rated steakhouse will be making its Texas debut at 5625 S.H. 121. The TDLR paperwork shows that work will commence on the 6,000 square foot space on February 3 of this year. The $1,200,000 renovation is set to wrap on June 17, 2025. The Primal Steakhouse website states that the Denton location will be opening at some point this year, and based on the construction timeline, it is likely Texas foodies will be able to sample the restaurant’s fare in late summer or early fall.

Primal Steakhouse currently only has one location open and in operation, but that sole restaurant has created quite a splash in the culinary scene. The eatery has earned several accolades, including being counted as one of the top 20 Steakhouse’s in America on Yelp!

The inevitably steak-heavy menu features an array of elevated choices beyond simply the beef, including seared lamb chops and smoked Chilean seabass. Vegetarians won’t find much to nosh on for main courses, however the dessert menu features an impressive selection of sweet treats, ranging from a deconstructed banana split to Oreo tiramisu.
