The DFW is about to get a taste of the next evolution of a fast-casual chicken giant. Saucy! by KFC is bringing the chicken fans have grown to love alongside a fresh range of delicious sauces to Frisco, with work set to start this summer.
Saucy! will be moving into a brand-new storefront being erected at the intersection of US 380 and 420 FM. According to the paperwork filed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, the restaurant will span 2,780 square feet, with construction set to commence in June and projected to wrap by November.
The fast-casual concept is still in the early stages of development, making it impossible to estimate an opening date at this point, however the restaurant should be open before the end of 2026.
While KFC is a well-established name and one of the rockstars of the fast-casual dining scene, Saucy! is a newer presence on the market. Despite its youth, the offshoot has already made a powerful splash among chicken enthusiasts. The concept is relatively simple: customers can order deliciously prepared chicken “tendies” and a wide range of sauces, either as is, as a sandwich, as a wrap, or in a bowl.
Living up to its name, Saucy! features such a vast selection of sauces that guests may struggle to choose their favorites. Fortunately, the eatery also offers a sauce flight that allows visitors to sample any four flavors that capture their imaginations.
The DFW has long been a dining pioneer, and Saucy! allows the region to continue that tradition. The Frisco location will be the concept’s first home outside of Florida.
