Salad and Go has taken over a 750 square-foot restaurant space near Belt Line and Plano Roads in Richardson. The fast-casual brand that focuses on healthy foods already has one Richardson location, at the corner of Campbell and Greenville.

City Council approved Ryan Alcala’s request to rezone a lot near Belt Line and Plano, Community Impact reports. The meeting was held on Sept. 13, and rezoning was approved 4-3. Salad and Go will add two drive-thru lanes with 19 queueing spaces, 11 parking spaces, and a walkup window. This store will have no dine-in space, and Alcala anticipates that roughly 85% of the store’s revenue will come from drive-thru orders.

The healthy lifestyle brand has its origins in Arizona and, despite its fast growth, is not a franchise. Texas is the only other state in which you can currently find Salad and Go, although the company’s website indicates an effort to continue expanding.

Salad and Go believes in making fresh, healthy food a convenient and affordable option for everyone, and with a menu of gourmet, affordable salads and breakfast burritos, the company appears to be living its message. Soon you’ll have even more access to a fiesta burrito that will make your morning commute just a little bit better. Visit Salad and Go’s website for more information.
