Sometimes the biggest things come in the smallest packages, an adage the burger world has proven true. Sliders have been delighting hungry diners, and the DFW is preparing to welcome one of the top purveyors of the beloved tiny burgers. Smalls Sliders will begin working on its second McKinney location this summer, reports Community Impact.
The chain, which utilizes an unusual modular shipping container model, will be setting up shop at 1640 North Custer Road. Paperwork filed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation shows that work is set to begin on the project on August 6 and should wrap by October 27. While a precise opening date is not yet available, franchisee Serendipity Provisions LLC anticipates having the 750 square foot eatery up and running by the end of 2025.
McKinney welcomes its first Smalls Sliders storefront at 1681 North Hardin Boulevard earlier this year.
Founded in Baton Rouge in 2018, Smalls Sliders made a name for itself through its made-to-order burgers and waffles fries. The website offers some insight into the chain’s success, saying: “We only use high-quality ingredients and make our cheeseburger sliders fresh to order always. Our waffle fries are made with the most superior spuds, too. Then seasoned to perfection for dippin’ & dunkin’ ’til your heart’s content. Our shakes, well, they’re just the coolest.”
