It looks like a popular vegan restaurant based in Atlanta is planning to make its move into the Texas market. According to a recent project filing, Slutty Vegan could open its first location in the Lone Star State sometime in the summer of 2023.

The filing lists the address as 2707 Main St., Ste. A in Dallas, which is a 1,500-square-foot space in Deep Ellum. Slutty Vegan president Jason Crain told What Now Dallas in an email that they should be ready to share more details about their plans in January.

Slutty Vegan menu options include the Ménage à Trois, which features a plant-based patty, vegan bacon, vegan shrimp, vegan cheese, caramelized onions, lettuce, tomato, and Slut Sauce. Other options include the Chick’N Head, the Big Dawg with a plant-based bratwurst, and the PLT featuring sweet jerk plantains.

Founder Pinky Cole first began offering 100% plant-based burgers from her Atlanta apartment in 2018. Orders started pouring in, so she began serving from a food truck and held a grand opening for her first brick-and-mortar in Atlanta in early 2019.

According to the Slutty Vegan website, Cole opened “the conversation on vegan food options for people who have never considered them in this community that has such high numbers in hypertension, cholesterol, obesity, and a host of other food-borne ailments.” Her first cookbook, EAT PLANTS, B*ITCH, debuted earlier this month and features nearly 100 easy vegan recipes.

Slutty Vegan has six locations in Georgia, one in New York, and others coming soon. Earlier this year, Slutty Vegan received $25MM in funding backed by Enlightened Hospitality Investments, which is co-founded by Shake Shack founder Danny Meyer, and New Voices Fund to expand the brand.
