The Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport is slowly turning into the hottest dining spot in town. The transportation hub already has an impressive array of eateries but is preparing to add a particularly impressive feather to its cap. Innovative taco concept Velvet Taco is opening a new location in the airport, reports the Dallas Business Journal.

The taqueria will be part of the extensive renovation that Terminal C of the 2400 Aviation Drive travel center is undergoing. It’s unclear precisely when Velvet Taco will be ready to greet customers, however the entire Terminal C project is expected to wrap by 2030.

Velvet Taco is certain to provide an extra lift to weary travelers through its unique approach to the titular dish. The chain does not limit itself to the conventional notion of the taco; as the website explains: “we use only the freshest ingredients available to offer a menu that explores the edge of multi-cultural boundaries, liberating tacos to a whole new level. We slow roast our own chicken and corn, use lots of booze in our margaritas, and make everything from scratch. Which means our food tastes really awesome.”

Velvet Taco’s innovative menu includes unexpected delights like the fried paneer taco and the chicken and waffle taco, simply for starters. The airport location is certain to feed visitors’ imaginations while filling their stomachs.
