Louis Vuitton, a French fashion house known for its leather goods, fashion, and accessories, will open a new store in Highland Park at 21 Highland Park Village.
The new Louis Vuitton store will take over the current Hermès space after Hermès moves into a new, expanded location in early 2027, according to People Newspapers. Highland Park Village is also adding Italian fashion label Gucci and fine jewelry house Bvlgari to its lineup. Bvlgari is set to open at 44A Highland Park Village at the end of October, while Gucci will take over the former Gabriela Hearst space.
Louis Vuitton’s upcoming store will add another location for the French fashion house in the North Texas market. The company traces its history to 1837, when Louis Vuitton arrived in Paris and began an apprenticeship with master trunk maker Romain Maréchal. After 17 years of training, Vuitton opened his first store in Paris in 1854.
The company grew from making trunks and travel goods into a broader fashion house. Louis Vuitton opened its Asnières workshop in 1859, where the company still crafts leather goods and special orders today. The brand later expanded internationally, opening its first store outside France in London in 1885 before continuing its growth into other markets.
Louis Vuitton has continued expanding its product offerings beyond its original trunk-making business. Today, the house offers women’s and men’s collections, leather goods, accessories, watches, jewelry, fragrances, and beauty products. Its heritage remains closely tied to travel and craftsmanship, and the company continues to produce trunks and other travel-related pieces.
The Highland Park Village store will join a lineup of luxury brands that includes Dior, Miu Miu, Oscar de la Renta, Cartier, and Van Cleef & Arpels. With Louis Vuitton taking over the Hermès space after the latter’s planned move, the new store will add another international fashion house to the shopping destination.
