According to public filings, Mi Tierra Meat Market plans a new Fort Worth location at 5601 E. Lancaster Ave., Suite B. What Now Dallas reached out to Jorge Delgadillo, who is listed as the owner in Mi Tierra’s filings, to inquire about the project but did not hear back by the time of publication. Permitting records list a construction completion date of January 2027. However, dates listed in public filings are not always definitive.

Mi Tierra is known as a Mexican-style meat market and grocery store, offering marinated fajitas, fresh handmade corn tortillas, chicharrones, and a variety of prepared foods, including tortas, gorditas, tacos, and salsas made in-house. Alongside its meat counter and prepared food offerings, the store also carries a range of grocery staples, from household goods to candy for piñatas.

According to their social networks, Mi Tierra Meat Market currently operates two locations, one on Montwood Drive and the other one on Eastlake, on the west side of Fort Worth.

What Now Dallas also found a previous filing for a property a few blocks from the East Lancaster Avenue project, at 5300 E. Lancaster Ave., also associated with Delgadillo. It remains unclear whether Mi Tierra intends to operate two separate locations along the same stretch of East Lancaster Avenue or whether the previous filing reflects a project that may not move forward.

The opening adds to a broader wave of development activity What Now has tracked across Fort Worth in recent months, though much of that activity has been concentrated in other parts of the city. What Now Dallas recently reported on a new Tom Thumb grocery store planned for Northwest Fort Worth and separately covered Velvet Taco’s ground-up build in Northeast Fort Worth.
