Tractor Supply plans its first Wise County location with a new rural lifestyle store proposed in Boyd

Tractor Supply, the largest rural lifestyle retailer in the United States, may be coming to Boyd. According to public filings, the brand plans to open a new store on East Rock Island Avenue, with construction scheduled to begin in February 2027 and a completion date targeted for September 2027.

What Now Dallas reached out to Tractor Supply representatives, but did not respond to a request for comment prior to publication. The Boyd location would be the brand’s first in Wise County.

The retailer caters to farmers, ranchers, pet owners, and rural lifestyle enthusiasts, carrying a wide selection of livestock feed, farm supplies, fencing, pet food, lawn and garden equipment, and clothing. The brand also offers in-store propane refills and hosts community events throughout the year.

Tractor Supply currently operates 257 locations across Texas, according to StoreLocators, making the Lone Star State one of its most active markets.

Boyd is a growing community in Wise County, situated along Highway 730 in the northwestern corner of the Dallas-Fort Worth metro, with and area’s mix of agricultural land and expanding residential development. The nearest existing location is in Bowie, approximately 45 miles to the northwest, making the Boyd store a meaningful addition for residents across the county.
