Arepas Grill is in the works for 1842 E. Rosemeade Pkwy #600, owner Jonathan Carrajal confirmed with What Now Dallas.
According to the restaurant’s recent filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, the interior remodel of the 1,443-square-foot space is estimated to complete in late April.
Carrajal told What Now Dallas this is his first location, and the menu is not yet released. However, following the traditional Venezuelan cuisine, customers can expect authentic grilled cornflour or cornbread buns filled with savory meats, cheeses and beans.
The Venezuelan variety differs in general from Columbian arepas in that Columbian arepas are often sweet, and topped with butter and quesito colombiano.
