A Black Rock Coffee Bar is on its way to Hampden, according to a construction permit filing. The coffee chain’s newest location will be located on 6385 E Hampden Ave. in a space formerly occupied by a Panera Bread.
The new location is one of several that Black Rock Coffee has introduced to the area. A Black Rock Coffee location opened in Southeast Denver in the beginning of 2026. Most recently, What Now Denver reported a Black Rock Coffee opening a drive-thru location in the Central Park neighborhood that has still yet to open.
Black Rock Coffee Bar was founded in Beaverton, Oregon by Daniel Brand and Jeff Hernandez, initially opening as a drive-thru. In the nearly two decades Black Rock Coffee has been operating, founded in 2008, the chain has expanded to over 160 locations, mostly concentrated in the western United States. Its operations are fittingly scattered, with its headquarters based in Scottsdale, Ariz. and its main roastery in Vancouver, Wash.
Black Rock Coffee offers a wide selection of beverages, not just coffee and tea. Its most notable coffee alternative is Fuel, its energy drink that comes in impossibly bright colors.
