A new chapter has begun at 4613 S. Mason St., Suite D1, as Obstacle Brewing and Grill transitions into Southern Girl Brewery & Grill. The Fort Collins business is under new ownership, and with that comes a list of changes, according to The Coloradoan.

Now under the ownership of Deborah Manley, the new concept is a tribute to her Alabama roots. Manley acquired the company in August, and renovations have been ongoing at the location. Community posts state there is a new sign outside.

Colorado Beer Geek points out that while the establishment is listed as an LGBT and woman-owned brewery, there is a full liquor bar and all the brew currently served there is contracted out and made by another business. Five of its ten taps will be reserved for future house-made brews, though.

Southern Girl Brewery & Grill will serve a variety of appetizers, wings, soft pretzels, burgers, subs, sliders, and pizza. New specialties, such as grits and fried green tomatoes, are being introduced, with Southern barbecue slated to debut this summer.
