Progress has been made recently on a new El Pollo Loco location coming to 7470 S. Broadway in Littleton. Records show that fees for the permitting process were paid by the company last month.
The upcoming restaurant is owned by Colorado franchisee Pikes Pollo, Inc. The group will run three other locations in the area in addition to the Littleton branch, and already operates three El Pollo Locos in California.
After closing its last Colorado restaurants a decade ago, the Mexican food QSR chain made a comeback in the Centennial State recently. A number of multi-unit agreements with franchise owners in different regions have been announced in recent months.
Concept plans show the new build will be located off Broadway, next to a Culver’s drive-thru restaurant and near Centura Littleton Adventist Hospital. Renderings show a stone facade with bold colors and a modern style.
