With one location currently open in Denver, Aladdin Mediterranean Grill is now expanding into Golden. Aladdin Mediterranean Grill is tentatively scheduled to open at 17101 S. Golden Rd., Unit A in Golden this August, depending on the completion of construction and decorating.

Owner Moutaz Outahbashi opened the first Aladdin Mediterranean Grill in a food court at 3550 W. 38th Ave. in 2020. Outahbashi wanted to offer guests the sit-down, Mediterranean dining experience.

“We have a big fan base. Our menu caters to vegan, gluten-free, and vegetarians,” said Laura Meraz, manager. “A lot of people want the sit-down date scene, which we can’t do here.” Meraz said probably 90% of the Denver restaurant’s business is to-go orders.

Aladdin Mediterranean Grill offers a variety of vegetarian dishes, kabobs, chicken shawarma, and falafel. A popular item is the Aladdin Meal. Diners will get seven skewers including lamb, chicken, and beef. Everything is made from scratch, and all entrees come with rice, salad, hummus, and pita bread. “All our food is Halal,” Meraz said.

“Our portions are really, really big, and they feed a lot of people,” Meraz told What Now Denver. “Our main focus in Golden is we want to have a family-based restaurant where families can go, sit down, and eat. We’ll have food for everybody.”
