Aloy Thai Eatery, a new fast casual restaurant from the acclaimed Aloy Thai Cuisine and Aloy Modern Thai family, offering made-from-scratch Thai fare, will open in late July in Denver’s Capitol Hill neighborhood. This will be the third Aloy Thai restaurant since the first location opened in Boulder in 2006. Aloy Thai Eater is located at 211 E 7th Ave, Denver, CO 80203.
Says Regional Manager and business partner Mui Fisher in a statement, “When you think of fast-casual Mexican food you think of Chipotle, when you think of Chinese, you think of Panda Express. We want Aloy Thai Eatery to come to mind when people think of Thai food while holding to the Aloy tradition of welcoming guests like family, and using high quality and authentic ingredients.”
Aloy Thai Eatery differs from its sister restaurants, Aloy Thai Cuisine (Boulder) and Aloy Modern Thai (Denver), with its focus on a fast casual setting, delivery, and take out. The new Eatery’s menu will include the top 20 best sellers from both their Boulder and Denver locations, optional customizable plates made to order, and a lower price point.
Owner Kim Naka grew up in Bangkok’s Chinatown neighborhood as one of ten children, and later immigrated to the U.S. with her daughters, Arisa and Bo, in 2006. That same year, they opened Aloy Thai in Boulder, winning critical acclaim for their fresh and authentic Thai cuisine. Everyone at the restaurant calls Kim “Maae,” which means “Mom” in Thai. She is a mom to all of Aloy’s staff and her amazing dishes come from carefully guarded family recipes, which are adapted and created for all of Aloy’s menu features.
Kim and her family’s business partner, Mui Fisher, grew up in Thailand and was close childhood friends with Arisa and Bo. She moved from Thailand to Boulder in 2008 and began working at Aloy Thai. She has 13 years of experience in restaurant management and has played a huge part in the growth and success of the Aloy family.
Aloy Thai Eatery’s chef, Chef Orathai Sikhumlek, from Udon Thani province (North-eastern), Thailand, specializes in Thai cuisine with over 30 years of experience. She came to the US in 2014 and brought her specialty to the Aloy Family. The Aloy Thai Team is growing together as a family to support Chef Sikhumlek and bring their unique brand of Thai cuisine to more diners. She is part-owner of their new location, Aloy Eatery, the fast-casual focused Thai restaurant opening in Capitol Hill.
