Alta Empanada, an upcoming restaurant in Castle Pines, is set to bring the flavors of Argentina to the heart of Colorado. Located at 363 Village Square Ln #145, the eatery is preparing for operations, according to a post from South Denver Scoop.

Sign is up on the new Alta Empanada restaurant in Castle Pines,” the page wrote in early February. “The new Argentine restaurant is under construction close to I-25 and Castle Pines Parkway, across from the local Douglas County library.

The eatery will be taking over the former Scotty’s Sliders location, which previously housed Golden Flame Hot Wings. Alta Empanada will serve savory and sweet empanadas, along with pastries, tartas, and desserts. Its website shows there will also be smoothies and coffee, along with a selection of beer and wine.

It’s the conception of Chef Natalia Fragapane, who has nearly three decades of experience, and her partner, Adrian Falero, an Argentine craftsman and designer. Fragapane told What Now Denver she does not have an opening date yet.
