Records filed with the city of Lafayette show that a concept called AOA Tavern is taking over the old Nissi’s Entertainment Venue & Event Center property. It is the ground-level space located at 2675 Northpark Dr.

A liquor license was applied for in late July and a meeting with the city was held last week, documents show. The outcome of the meeting was not listed.

Documents state that the AOA Tavern will be a “neighborhood restaurant and bar with an adjacent event space” and occasion live music. It will be open every day from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. and have a staff of 32.

The business has a lease agreement for the space, in the two-story Bridgetown building, until June 30, 2026. It is a 6,109-square-foot property with two upscale bars, a lounge area, a stage, and a fully equipped commercial kitchen.
