Thanks to a new food and beverage contract, Colorado Springs Airport will be seeing exciting new offerings pop up soon. One of the businesses reported to be coming to the airport, located at 7770 Milton E Proby Pkwy, is Atrevida Beer Company.

The local brand posted on Facebook to announce the news of its expansion. “Opportunities like this do not come easily – Team Atrevida has worked so incredibly hard and we could not have done it without one another!” the company posted. “As we begin this new journey at COS Airport, our mission remains the same; Diversity, It’s on tap!”

Atrevida Beer Co. is a craft brewery from the Springs, founded by the state’s first Latina owner and head brewer. The business will reportedly serve pub food and draft beers, and have a full bar.

Jess Fierro, the owner, won the TV competition Beerland in its first season. Her husband, Rich, co-owner, has been regarded as a local hero after confronting and stopping the gunman in last year’s mass shooting at a local club.
