Batch Slapped Brewing, a craft brewery and cidery, is getting ready to open their doors at 5859 Palmer Park Boulevard in Colorado Springs.

The team is headed out by CEO Brian Shute alongside his son-in-law Jordan Oswald and Shute’s son Riley. The website says Shute bought Oswald his first real brewing system several years ago, and as their bond strengthened over the ciders and beers they made, Riley hopped on board.

“Things are going slow, but good,” said Shute when he spoke with What Now Denver on Thursday. “We are the only brewery and cidery in Colorado that was able to get both inside of one facility. We had to go through a lot of laws and loopholes to be able to accomplish that.”

He further stated that one of their focuses remains on one-of-a-kind batches.

“It’s part of the name,” he said. “We do one-off batches of everything, so we won’t necessarily have any flagships. Every batch we do is a little bit different with the flavors.”

Having held onto the space since September 2019, Shute is more than ready to be open by the end of September or beginning of October.
