A new neighborhood bar and grill, Billy Birch Pub & Yard, is set to open at 11915 Holly Street in Thornton, according to the company’s Facebook. The brand promises to bring a “fun, community-centered vibe to the area” when it opens to customers this summer.

Positioned within the Skylake Ranch Shopping Center, the upcoming establishment will share the plaza with neighboring businesses such as Starbucks, Burger King, and The Learning Academy. It will feature a 5,700-square-foot structure, a covered patio, and 7,200 square feet of outdoor space to socialize and play games.

The project is being developed in collaboration with Catamount Constructors and Drake Real Estate Services. A recent update from Catamount stated that the structure is dried-in, and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing rough-ins are set to begin soon. Photos show the framing recently went up.

Backed by Little Pub Co., this is the latest venture for founder Mark Berzins, who operates nearly 20 community watering holes in the Denver metro area. Some of the group’s best dives include Don’s Club Tavern, The Pioneer, The Candlelight Tavern, The Elm, The Hangar Bar, and The Kentucky Inn, Westword reports.

Berzin told What Now Denver that hiring will begin in May and they are hoping for a June opening. An exact menu is still being ironed out but he stated that offerings will be “affordable”. He said it’s a tribute to his late father Vilis Berzins, who was a big part of the Colorado hospitality scene.
