Big Shakeups Continue at Great Divide Brewing Co.

The brewery closed two spots, but has plans for a new one.

Great Divide Brewing Co. is returning to RiNo this fall, after suddenly closing two locations in Denver in June, the Denver Post reports. The reprise will be happening at a new property, though: 3040 Blake St., #101.

It’s the latest happening at the local beer brand, which has undergone a number of operational changes lately. In April, What Now Denver reported that it was acquired by conglomerate Wilding Brands. Records from May show the brand was considering adding padel courts at its RiNo building; that plan appears to have been scrapped, since that location and its Ballpark outpost subsequently shuttered.

The new home for Great Divide is currently Stem Ciders’ satellite location — also a Wilding Brands business. A company rep told the publication that it will close on August 3, and then remodeling efforts to turn it into a taproom and restaurant will begin. It’s expected to open this fall.

Great Divide is a legacy in Colorado craft beer, with such a loyal following here in Denver and across the country,” said Eric Foster, CEO of Wilding Brands. “The RiNo location is designed to provide a fantastic experience, with a comfortable, inviting interior, great patio, full kitchen, and a huge variety of Great Divide and other Wilding craft beverages to enjoy.”

Stem Ciders has two other locations, both in Lafayette, its website shows. Those will remain open. All beer production has been moved to the Denver Beer Co. warehouse in Sunnyside after that brand was acquired by Wilding Brands as well.
