After two years establishing a creative, upscale bar presence in Parker, Black+Haus Tavern wife and husband owners Jen Black and Brent Niedringhaus are adding a second location at 2429 W. Main St. in Littleton.

“We want to bring something to Littleton that it doesn’t have,” Niedringhaus said. “We offer a scratch kitchen with a chef that created the menu. It’s tavern food, but more upscale than your traditional wings and cheese sticks.”

What Black and Niedringhaus offer is accessible comfort food like shaved beet salads, candied black pepper bacon, high-end steaks, and gourmet pastas.

“Parker has a locally-focused, independent-minded people,” Black said. “We wanted to do something good for this community and we want to do the same thing in Littleton.”

Black is the “brains beyond Black Haus” while Chef Kurt Eichenberger packs the firepower behind the Black Haus menu after over 20 years as a celebrated Colorado executive chef. And behind the bar, the highlight of the restaurant’s handmade cocktails are over 160 bourbons and whiskeys.

“I’d put our liquor selection up to anyone in the city,” Niedringhaus said.

Set on Main Street in Littleton’s brick-laden, walkable downtown stretch, beverages and meals will be served up in a cozy setting. Currently under construction, Black and Niedringhaus expect to open sometime in March. The food and drink menu will be consistent with Black+Haus Parker as will the large 3,000 square foot dining area (and 1,000 square foot kitchen), which includes two private dining rooms available for luncheons, weddings, showers, and any other special occasions.
