Fort Collins is expecting a new specialty beverage spot, as Marcuz Boba Tea Shop takes over the F&B space at 130 W. Laurel St., Ste B. The Coloradoan reports that a sign is up announcing the tenant is “coming soon”.
Details about the business and a timeline for opening are unknown. Outdated social media posts had originally announced a grand opening in September, but no updates have been provided since. The business does appear on official city sales tax listings, but no other records have been found.
Rizza Edelman with Marcuz Boba Tea Shop confirmed the project with What Now Denver, but has since stopped responding to press inquiries. She owns multiple small businesses and is a photographer, as well as part of the Philippine American Chamber of Commerce of Southern Colorado (PACCSoCo).
The space, just steps from the Colorado State University campus, was formerly the Back Door Grill. That venture shuttered its doors for good in January after several regulatory and health inspection issues.
