After receiving a $1 million donation from The Denver Broncos Foundation, Café Momentum will open sometime in the future in Denver. There is no address or timeline yet, but the announcement is an exciting prospect.

The company is a nonprofit that offers 12-month paid internships to at-risk teens. The youth work in the eateries, cooking, serving, hosting, and managing. So far, more than 1,000 teenagers have been a part of the program.

In addition to a job, Café Momentum offers case management, mental health services, and parenting classes. The Dallas-based venture has also expanded to Nashville and Pittsburgh and is eyeing markets like Atlanta, Houston, Baltimore, and Boston.

The company’s menu consists of New American cuisine and it prides itself on being locally sourced, seasonal, farm-to-table, and chef-driven. The business also sells merch at its locations, like shirts and hats, with proceeds going to the program.
