Denver’s Lower Highland (LoHi) neighborhood is set to welcome a new upscale Chinese dining experience with the opening of Blossom by SYC. According to Westword, the venue is expected to welcome guests sometime this spring at its 1691 Central Street home.
The 3,300-square-foot space has hosted several restaurants over the past decade, including Central Bistro, Candela Latin Kitchen, Northside Eatery + Market, and El Chingon Bistro — which was seized by the state last May due to $44,000 in unpaid taxes, according to the Denver Post.
Blossom’s menu will offer Chinese dishes in an upscale environment, with the average dining ticket estimated to be around $80. The eatery has the capacity to seat between 75 and 85 guests at a time, and will have a private dining room available to reserve for big groups and special events.
It’s the latest venture from SYC Concepts, a sister company to One Concept Restaurant Group. Both businesses are under the vision of chef and owner Shuang Crossland, who has been a prominent figure in Denver’s Asian culinary scene for nearly two decades, according to the company’s website.
SYC Concepts and One Concept Restaurant Group own a number of popular establishments in the metro area, including Go Fish Sushi, The Bronze Empire, Honey Basil Asian Grill, and Miya Moon. Also in the works are two other eateries: Mikaku Ramen & Temaki and SYC Temaki.
