Longmont is eagerly awaiting the arrival of a local Thai joint that is expanding. Busaba, a Front Range chain, will open at 2343 Clover Basin Dr., according to an article from the Times-Call.

The restaurant will be moving into a space in the southwest corner of town. It will be taking over the former Firehouse Subs joint — a 1,800-square-foot shell — and should open sometime in the next three or four months.

Shekhar Pokhrel, the current owner of Busaba, has been bringing his Asia-inspired eats to the communities of Boulder, Erie, and Louisville for years. The company was started in 2010 and he took over five years ago.

Busaba’s website explains that the restaurant’s namesake translates to “flower” in Thai. Its menu features cultural favorites like pad Thai, crab rangoons, tofu, homemade curries, and more. This new location will hire on ten to 15 employees from the local community.
