A new Dunkin’ is planned for 270 S. Havana Street in Aurora, according to permitting records. The donut and coffee shop will be near the intersection of E. Alameda Avenue and S. Havana Street.

Leasing records show it is replacing the former Shiny Happy Car Wash. That 1,152-square-foot structure will be demolished, and a new Dunkin’ will be built, 1,000 square feet featuring a drive-through and walk-up window.

The project was submitted by Aaron Barnhart of Wallace Design Collective. Also listed on the application is Jake Gdowski, who is a local multi-unit franchisee with Dunkin’. Various fees have been paid, totaling over $20,000.

Aurora’s Planning Department accepted the application, and the project has since gone through multiple review cycles, though some items remain under review or require corrections. Neither the franchise owner nor the company returned What Now Media’s request for comment, so an estimated timeline for the project is unknown.
