Carl’s Jr. is set to establish its presence in Saddle Rock, a neighborhood in south Aurora. The popular fast-food chain’s plans for expansion at 7390 S Gartrell Road are taking shape, city records show.

The site for the new Carl’s Jr. is a .86-acre parcel where the company will construct a 2,900-square-foot establishment. The restaurant will have a drive-thru and patio seating, according to documents.

Plans were first submitted to the city in July, and after a few rounds of reviews, the application for development was approved in October. The latest update is a technical review from the city that was sent in January.

The developer and franchisee, By the Rio LLC, is a seasoned owner with Carl’s Jr. The company was the first franchise owner to switch from Hardee’s to Carl’s Jr. in 1997. By The Rio’s website states positions are open for crew members, supervisors, and management across various locations in Colorado.
