City records show that the Starbucks store at 5074 E Hampden Ave. in the Happy Canyon Shopping Center is getting a makeover. The company has filed permits to make changes at the coffee shop.

Renovation plans show that the project has a listed construction valuation of $275,000. The property is a 1,674-square-foot building with an exterior patio space for patrons to enjoy. There are nine seats inside and room for 25 outside.

This Starbucks location operates from 5 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily and typically sees about 140 customers per day, records filed with the City and County of Denver show. The large majority of patrons come in the morning.

Starbucks did not reply to What Now Denver for comment on whether or not the store would be open for business during construction. Documents show that ChangeUp is the hired design firm, Design Forum Architects, Inc. is doing the architectural plans, and WHS Engineering is the project engineer.
