Records filed with the city show that Chick-fil-A plans to open a new location at the southeast corner of Central Park Blvd and I-70. This highly anticipated addition is part of the larger Runway 35 development project, which will revitalize the area near the former Stapleton Airport runway.
The Chick-fil-A site is located between I-70 and 40th Ave, just off Central Park Blvd, on a parcel behind QuikTrip and east of Wendy’s. Other coming additions to the area include Andy’s Frozen Custard, Cracker Barrel, 7 Brew Coffee, a car wash, and a 15,000-square-foot hotel, Fairfield Inn and Suites.
Merrick & Company is listed on the project documents as providing civil engineering and surveying services, while Core States Grou is handling architectural responsibilities. Many of the other details are under wraps right now.
The Runway 35 project, with its homage to the Stapleton Airport, is reshaping the Central Park neighborhood into a bustling hub of commerce and community. Spanning 31 acres, it is divided into Runway North, Runway South, and the Control Tower Project.
Founded by Truett Cathy in 1946, Chick-fil-A is known for its signature chicken sandwich and operational emphasis on faith-based values, including closing on Sundays. With more than 2,900 locations nationwide, it remains one of the top-performing fast-food chains.
