The Denver Metro area’s second Chicken Rebel location is now open in Westminster, and a third one is in the planning stages. Chicken Rebel founder Lydie Lovett wants to open the third Colorado location this summer at a yet-to-be-determined spot, according to a Westword article.

Lovett, started the concept as a food-stand in San Diego and in 2017, moved to Denver where she opened a food truck. The first brick-and-mortar Chicken Rebel came in 2019 at 3618 Tejon Street. The second location, which features a drive-thru, opened at 10448 Town Center Drive in Westminster earlier this month.

The menu features fried chicken sandwiches, all of which are “made with organic chicken raised in a humane environment,” according to the Chicken Rebel website.

Some menu items include the Classic with fried chicken, jalapeno slaw, and roasted garlic aioli, or the Rancher with fried chicken, bacon, avocado, and buttermilk ranch. All of the restaurant’s sauces are made in-house.

Chicken Rebel offers loaded tater tots, salads, wraps, and hand-spun shakes. If you are in the mood for breakfast, the Chicken Rebel menu features all day breakfast items including a burrito, French toast, and a sandwich.

Draft beer, specialty cocktails, and Rocky Mountain Craft Fountain sodas are also on the menu.
