Fast-casual pizzeria franchise Slice House by Tony Gemignani is expanding to Colorado. The growing brand is teaming up with operators to open a number of stores in the state, with the first being 1385 Sculptor Drive in Loveland, it announced on social media last week.
Franchisees Mike Tingus and Dean Crescenzi are spearheading this expansion into a new market through Tingus Group, according to NoCo Style. Mike handles real estate and operations, while Dean brings extensive marketing experience. They have master franchise rights for a large portion of the state, and hope to open several locations over the next year and a half.
“It’s a big area we plan to develop. Places like Cherry Creek, Highlands Ranch, Castle Rock, Castle Pines, Golden, Evergreen, Broomfield, Aurora, and more. We also have all the mountain communities — from Telluride to Summit County, Eagle County, and Steamboat Springs,” Tingus told the publication.
The lease for the Loveland spot was signed in December, Mike told What Now Denver. It’s a 2,200-square-foot space with a 1,400-square-foot patio offering Rocky Mountain views. Indoor capacity will be approximately 22, and the patio will seat about 50 guests. Its hours will be 11 AM – 9 PM Sunday through Thursday, and until 10 PM on the weekends.
Construction is nearing completion, with drywall and interior improvements underway. A liquor licensing hearing is set for later this month. Hiring efforts are underway for about 30 positions, and training will start in September. The menu will feature Gemignani’s acclaimed New York, Sicilian, Grandma, and Detroit-style pizzas, along with pasta, wings, salads, local craft beers, and premium wines.
