The existing Chick-fil-A restaurant at 2170 S. Colorado Blvd. will be undergoing some construction work, permits file with the city and county of Denver show. The company wants to make some changes to the exterior of the building, according to documents.
A zoning use permit application filed this summer states that the project includes “the construction of an additional Chick-fil-A drive-thru lane to support extra queuing as needed. The construction of two canopies are also proposed.”
By adding the extra lane for the drive-thru, the number of parking space for the establishment will decrease from 59 to 54. The lot size is 4,898 square feet, records show. Barghausen Consulting is the engineering firm listed on documents.
Chick-fil-A did not respond to a request from What Now Denver to comment on the project. It is not clear if the business’ drive-thru will stay open while work is in progress.
