Denver International Airport (DIA) is prepping to welcome Taco Bell Cantina next year as part of a wave of new food options as the airport remodels. According to Westword, the spinoff concept of the QSR chain will be located in Concourse A East near gate A49 at the travel hub.
The new location, operated by Mission Yogurt, hospitality company behind many DIA restaurants, has an expected opening in mid-April 2026, KYGO reports. Over the past few years, the airport has welcomed numerous new concessionaires, including Root Down, El Chingon Bistro, Mizu Sushi Izakaya, Bar Dough, Tocabe, D Bar, The Bagel Deli, and Williams & Graham.
This signals the resurgence of the Taco Bell Cantina name in the state. There was one opened in Boulder in 2017, but that ended up closing because the city would not grant the business a liquor license. It also marks the return of the Taco Bell brand to the airport after an eight-year absence; it was located in the Great Hall until 2018, when construction began and that closed.
Its Cantina concept was launched over a decade ago in Chicago and is known for its focus on boozy beverages such as beer, wine, and Twisted Freezes. There are only about 60 locations in operation, and this is the first to be located within an airport, Mission Yogurt posted.
