Sip and Throw, a pottery studio with wine and beer offerings, is set to open its doors in Denver’s bustling RiNo Arts District in early 2025. Permits filed with the city and county of Denver show that the emerging business will be moving into a space in RiNo at 1160 26th St.

Imagine unwinding after a long day by spinning pottery on a wheel while sipping on a drink—this is exactly the kind of experience Sip and Throw aims to provide. A curated mercantile corner will showcase locally crafted goods, allowing visitors to take home unique, handmade items.

The studio will feature dedicated pottery wheel stations, offering classes and workshops for all skill levels, from beginners to seasoned potters.  Sip and Throw also plans to host private lessons, team-building events, and special occasions like birthdays and group outings.

Records show the company submitted for a commercial construction permit recently, and building plans were approved this week. Documents state the space is a 1,396-square-foot shell that will be undergoing renovations. The tenant improvement process includes the demolition of existing walls, the addition of a new unisex restroom, and the installation of new fixtures.

Founder Aaron Cummins told What Now Denver, “At Sip and Throw, we’re creating more than a pottery studio—we’re building a space for community, creativity, and inspiration. Whether you’re here to unwind, explore your artistic side, or simply sip and socialize, we can’t wait to welcome you to an experience like no other.”
