Dazbog Coffee to Open Kiosk Near DIA

Two former Soviet Union immigrants expanding Denver coffee empire.

Founded in 1996, Dazbog Coffee has expanded to include nearly two dozen coffee shops across the state of Colorado and two in Wyoming. It appears as if Dazbog is planning to open yet another location, and the newest spot will be near the Denver International Airport.

According to city of Denver permitting application information, Dazbog will open a coffee kiosk with a drive-through at 5650 North Tower Road in Denver. The kiosk would be part of a larger development by Evergreen 56th Tower Retail LLC.

Dazbog co-founders and brothers Anatoly and Leonid Yuffa emigrated from St. Petersburg, Russia with their family in 1979. Less than 20 years later, they realized their American dream by opening the first Dazbog Coffee in Denver.

Dazbog slow roasts small batches of Arabic coffee beans from farms across the globe to provide coffee drinkers with a full line of varietals, blends, decafs, and organics.

Dazbog offers coffee beans by the bag and individual cups with flavors such as the Decaf Babushka Blend, Organic Kremlin Blend, and White Nights Espresso, which, according the Dazbog website, “is named for the summer days in Leningrad when the sun never sets.”

A variety of teas are available including Crimsonberry Herbal Tea and Hot Cinnamon Black Tea. Hot and iced coffees, lattes, and cappuccinos offer a quick a pick-me-up to Dazbog guests.

There is no word yet on when the Dazbog Coffee kiosk on North Tower Road will open.
