Sugary breakfast items, kolaches, and pastries will soon be offered at a new restaurant in Brighton. The Doughnut Social is planning to open in early March of 2022 as construction continues due to contractor and production material delays.
Owners Jane Rodriguez and Youcef “Joe” Berkane decided on the 1,400-square-foot spot at the Palizzi Marketplace in Brighton because they did not find any doughnut options in the area.
The Doughnut Social will offer a variety of doughnuts including glazed, chocolate-covered, twists, and apple fritters. Kolaches, breakfast sandwiches and pastries, and coffee drinks will also be on the menu.
“Our plan is to serve all ages, so it’s going to be a very diverse shop,” Rodriguez said. “We plan on eventually having some type of doughnut bar to where the kiddoes can decorate and do their own designs for their own doughnuts. And then we’ll have the classic, the more the traditional-style doughnuts.”
The space will also offer Wi-Fi for anyone wanting to catch up on work. Rodriguez said they are going to focus on community-based efforts and support local businesses.
They plan to add crepes and egg waffles to the menu several months after opening. Egg waffles, which feature bubble-shaped pockets instead of a traditional waffle’s square pockets, can be formed like an ice cream cone and filled with protein, ice cream, yogurt, fruit, and more.
The address for The Doughnut Social is 530 E. Bromley Ln., Unit 140, Brighton, CO 80601.
Molly Bayer with CBRE represented the landlord in the leasing transaction.
