El Pollo Loco just recently re-entered the Colorado market, and it looks like the company is very serious about growing here. The brand recently signed a development agreement for 10 locations to open in Larimer, Boulder, Broomfield, and Weld Counties in the coming years.

A recent press release reveals Mass Equities EPL LLC is the franchisee in the deal. The company’s founder said in a statement, “We look forward to bringing the El Pollo Loco experience to northern parts of the state.”

The release states that Mass Equities will open 10 units over the span of the next eight years. It’s estimated that the first of the locations should be ready by the end of 2024.

With more than 490 locations, El Pollo Loco has been continuously growing across the country and becoming a top spot for flame-broiled Mexican fast food. In late 2022, a location opened on Peoria St. after an 11-year hiatus since the brand last operated in Colorado.
