On Thursday, ESP–Denver’s new, hip HiFi bar and cafe–hosted a soft opening with smooth music and refreshing drinks in a stunning space at 1029 Santa Fe Drive in the Santa Fe Art District.

Inspired by kissaten culture in Japan, ESP provides a relaxing and aesthetically pleasing space akin to home, where audiophiles can gather for good music and good drinks. According to its official website, the Hifi bar and cafe “celebrates vintage music equipment, vinyl, and global sounds” with coffee, natural wine, and cocktails to complete the vibing experience.

Denver’s first Jazz Kissa style record bar embraces the building’s old brick facade and patchy paint to create an underground, speakeasy feel complemented with verdant plants and beautiful wood vinyl equipment. The venue is spacious yet intimate, utilizing its natural light as well as its mood lighting–perfect for vibing with a drink in hand.

ESP’s focus on sound exploration and music from various cultures and periods calls for the highest quality sound system. The venue is stacked with high-end gear from Garrard 401 Turntables to Klipschorn Speakers. Guests can count on a carefully curated collection of records featuring blues, funk, soul, jazz, rock, and electronic that surprises, pleases, and soothes the soul.
