Boulder’s Table Mesa Shopping Center will be home to one of the next Illegal Pete’s locations to open as the brand expands. The address of the incoming store is 657 S. Broadway, according to an article from Retro 102.5.

A beloved fast-casual Mexican eatery, this will be the third outpost for Illegal Pete’s in the city of Boulder, where the brand began. On its website, it is listed as the 14th location, behind the upcoming Wheat Ridge store, but does not list an opening date.

The space that the company is moving into was once occupied by Murphy’s South, a casual American-style eatery (Murphy’s Tap House, the Louisville iteration, is still in operation). Part of Illegal Pete’s plans for the property include building renovations and adding new equipment and seating.

Illegal Pete’s first opened its doors on Boulder’s University Hill nearly three decades ago. It has now expanded to nearly a dozen locations — and counting — in Colorado and has stores in Arizona as well.
