Black Rock Coffee Bar is expanding with a new drive-thru location in the Green Valley Ranch neighborhood of Denver. The chain recently submitted permits regarding a project happening at 17711 E 56th Ave in Green Valley Ranch.

This new coffee shop will feature a modular building, which will be constructed on the East Coast and assembled at the site. The store will span 620 square feet on a 0.45-acre parcel, providing 17 parking spaces and a single-lane drive-thru. It will have a walk-up window and an outdoor patio for seating.

The lease for the new location is expected to be finalized within the next week, the company tells What Now Denver. Permitting is anticipated to be completed by July 2024, with construction taking about 60 days, and an opening projected for the fourth quarter of 2025.

VP of Development Bobby Kaufmann expressed excitement to join the area, which is bustling with development lately. There is a new Target coming, as well as a light rail stop planned.

“We’re excited about that north part of Denver, towards out towards the airport. A lot is brewing out there,” he said. “Denver is going to be one of the top three markets that we’ll continue to develop in moving forward.”
